The Programme (age 8-9)
This is the traditional age for children to start fencing. At this age they are mentally and physically developed to a reasonabl standard to grasp disiplin and the fundimentals of fencing. But in a sport like fencing where mind and body work togather and the demand for skill is hight, it is important to teach and prepare the child. This is why children at this age will etre the club at a beginner level. This is the club's Level 1.

Part of their programme at this level is to take private lessons and there is a chance of a mini copetition to give them a gentle introduction.

Club fees
You can pay your club fees annually or spread the payments over 12 months. If paid monthley the cost is £37/month.

How to start
To get started you need to book for an introduction session after which you can join the club on a regular basis. The session will cost you £20 and all kit will be provided. All you need is trainers, tracksuit bottoms, a t-shirt, a jumper and a bottle of water.

Free Taster session
During school holidays we run 2 hour free taster sessions. If you are not sure you can book on one of these. Check dates on homepage. Or if these dates are too far away or not good for you, you call call and book to do 1 free club session.
